One of the platforms that Donald Trump ran on while campaigning for President was cutting waste and fraud in the federal government. Trump tasked tech billionaire Elon Musk with heading the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, and while they claim they have been eliminating fraud, a few programs that need help have been hit. John Feal, founder of the Feal Good Foundation, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about how DOGE’s cuts have affected his work and what he is doing to continue fighting for 9/11 first responders.
“We come in peace, but we’re ready for a street fight because that’s the importance of this,” Feal tells host Larry Mendte. “This isn’t Republican this isn’t Democrat, this is about humanity; this is about never forgetting the most horrific day in the history of this nation.”
Feal is not happy with how Musk and Trump have treated 9/11 first responders: “Attacking this program and the way they’re doing it, with an evilness about it, it just doesn’t sit well with me.”
