ABOUT JEFF HANLEY

Jeff Hanley is the Associate Executive Director of The Builders Institute (BI)/Building and Realty Institute (BRI). The BI/BRI is a building, realty and construction industry membership organization. The association, based in Armonk, has more than 1,800 members in 14 counties of New York State. Members of the BI/BRI are involved in virtually every area of the building, realty and construction industries. Mr. Hanley has been with the BI/BRI since March of 1989. From 1989 to 1994, he served as an Assistant Director of the organization.

In August of 1994 he was promoted to his current role as Associate Executive Director. Mr. Hanley works with Tim Foley, the Chief Executive Officer of the BI/BRI and the association’s Board of Trustees in helping to oversee all functions of the organization. Prior to joining the BI/BRI in 1989, Mr. Hanley was the Director of Communications for The Westchester County Board of Realtors (WCBR), now The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR).

He served in that role from 1987 to 1989. Mr. Hanley is a former member of the print media. He was a Staff Writer/Columnist for The Journal News (Gannett Corporation) from 1981 to 1989. He also served as an Associate Editor for Computer Reseller News, a national business publication, in 1986. “Constructive Conversations with The Building and Realty Institute (BRI)” covers issues of importance to the building, realty and construction industries, as well as to the general business community. The show was on AM 970 The Answer from Nov. 24, 2018 to Feb. 1, 2020. The program then moved to Talk Radio 77WABC, where it ran from February 8, 2020 to August 29, 2020. “Constructive Conversations” made its debut on 710 WOR on October 10, 2020. It can be heard every Sunday night from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Mr. Hanley also hosts “Building Knowledge with The Building and Realty Institute (BRI)” on WVOX 1460 AM. The program airs every Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The show started on June 2, 2017.
