Remembering Our Beloved Caller Bea From Brooklyn

Bea from Brooklyn was one of our most frequent callers, so sharp and savvy and loved by our audience. We knew she was a senior, but never would have guessed she was 96 with all the energy and clarity she had when she called in. Her daughter Sandra called the show to give us the sad news that Bea passed away. We have since received hundreds of Emails from around the country from listeners paying tribute to Bea. Here's just one example:

"Hello Mark, I enjoy your radio show podcast daily and am a ‘transplanted NYer (from Queens) living in Annapolis Md and I was very saddened to hear of Bea’s passing (I just lost my 94 year old father the other day myself) and I absolutly LOVED every time Bea would call the show, I loved her loud voice yelling with joy ‘Hello Mark’ and you would jump and say OH! I loved that. She truly was my favorite and if I were in the middle of doing somthing, as soon as I heard you say ‘let’s go to Bea of Brooklyn’ I always immediately stopped whatever I was doing and perk up and listen. I only wish you gave her a little more time per call as she was so entertaining. She was my favorite, she may not have called like Vincent does but he is my second favorite to hear. Thank you very much for a great daily show. - from Al"
