In a similar situation to today, in 1998 the military told the President they had found Bin Laden and wanted to blow him up. Clinton discussed it with his cabinet and they decided to let him go free. They felt it would cause chaos in the middle east, cause retaliation, so they let him go.............which caused 9/11.
