Very Dramatic- Boston Symphony Audience Learns of the Death of JFK

On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Tex. In Boston, Boston Symphony Orchestra Conductor Erich Leinsdorf broke the news from the podium to the audience and led the orchestra in a memorial rendition of the funeral march from Beethoven’s Third Symphony.
