Iran-backed Houthi rebels continue to seize territory in Yemen and now have captured strategic islands around the area of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. Commercial shipping through Hormuz remains deeply disrupted and the Houthis could cause it to completely shutdown. The rebels have also picked up attacks on Saudi Arabia causing the kingdom's East-West Pipeline to be shut off as a precaution, surging oil prices by 2%. The '250 Days for 250 Years Foundation' has launched an interactive nationwide heritage program that combines location-based challenges, historical discovery missions and community engagement activities across all states through a free web application accessible to all Americans.
