Voters are heading to the polls on Tuesday for a special election to replace former Congressman George Santos.
It's expected to be a close race between former Democratic Congressman Tom Suozzi and Republican Mazi Pilip. A recent Siena College poll showed Suozzi with a 48 to 44 percent lead. Santos was forced out of office after being hit with multiple federal charges.
Polls are open until 9 p.m.
