The latest report on Eric Adams comes from federal prosecutors who have said that they have found additional criminal conduct by the New York City mayor. Despite the continued legal troubles, Adams has refused to step down from his position and at this point still plans on running for reelection in November. New York City Council minority leader Joe Borelli spoke with the WOR Morning Show about Adams’ chances at reelection.
“I actually think Eric Adams is in a better position for mayor this week than he was maybe two weeks ago,” Borelli tells host Larry Mendte. “I think the stock is dropping on some of the contenders.”
Borelli doesn’t like the chances of another Democrat beating an incumbent Adams: “Although Brad Lander did have a series of endorsements this week from very prominent Democrats, I’m just not buying it.”
