The White House has denied the claims made in a Wall Street Journal report that President Joe Biden’s mental state has declined to a point where he is unfit for office. The actions of the White House however paint a different picture as Biden gets ready for a trip to Rome to meet with the Pope. WOR White House correspondent Jon Decker spoke with the WOR Morning Show about the trip and the access the press will be given during it.
“During that trip there will be no press availabilities with President Biden,” Decker told host Larry Mendte. “The White House didn’t even reserve hotel rooms for the press corps other than the pool that is traveling with President Biden.”
Decker thinks these are tactics to keep Biden shielded from the media: “This has not happened during the course of his presidency and it’s another example of the White House really trying to keep the President as far away as possible from answering questions from the press.”
