Hochul Touts Subway Safety Hours After Woman Was Set On Fire And Killed

Governor Kathy Hochul stuck her foot in her mouth yesterday when she touted subway safety just a few hours after a homeless woman was killed when an immigrant set her ablaze while she slept on the F train. The WOR Morning Show talked with Democratic Political Strategist Melissa DeRosa for her thoughts on another Hochul miscue.

DeRosa said of Hochul, "It's almost like you have to try to be this bad at your job. She and her staff are totally disconnected from reality, and it shows just how far Democrats are out of touch with the people who elected them. It's an embarrassment for Hochul and her staff. It speaks to her inability to govern, her inability to keep her finger on the pulse of New Yorkers." When asked if Hochul can survive this De Rosa said, "She is not politically strong enough to stave off a serious primary or a serious challenge in the 2026 election."
