CNN anchor Chris Cuomo publicly trashed President Trump’s border wall on social media Tuesday, urging his followers to “stay woke” and oppose the President’s signature campaign promise to the American people.
The left-leaning host of CNN’s ‘New Day’ attacked the proposal on twitter, asking “Is the wall worth holding up a deal on daca and tps and budget? hundreds of thousand of lives in the breach….is that realized?”
Trump supporters and other proponents of the southern border fired-back within minutes, accusing the liberal host of ignoring the will of millions of voters that ushered Donald Trump into the White House in November of 2016.
“You think the wall is the answer? you know the majority of illegal stays are from legit visa overstays right? that most come by plane right? #GetWoke you are being sold a solution that defies facts,” Cuomo responded.

Cuomo’s comments come as the President and congressional Democrats attempt to strike a deal relating to DACA recipients, commonly known as ‘Dreamers,’ as well as immigration reform. President Trump has routinely stated there can be no deal on DACA without funding for the construction of a physical barrier along the nation’s southern border with Mexico.
