The New York Comedy Festival Returns For Its 21st Year

The largest and longest running annual comedy festival in the United States will be returning for its 21st year from November 7th to November 16th. The festival was founded in 2004 and has developed a reputation for showcasing the best comedy in the world from headlining stars to up and coming comedians that will go onto be the stars of the future. Caroline Hirsch, Founder and Executive Producer of the festival spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the announcement of this year’s event and what fans can expect to see.

“We have stand up, we have improv, we have podcasts, we diversified in all the different types of comedy you can imagine,” Hirsch told host Larry Mendte. “That’s what we try to bring to New York; a week of laughs at the best venues in the world.”

Despite shows being held at venues all over the city, Hirsch talked about the host venue and what will be happening there: “We take over the Hard Rock Hotel and the venue there… and we bring everything that we used to do at Caroline’s, we bring to the Hard Rock right there on 48th street.”
