Automobiles have gotten significantly safer in recent years and a large part of that is the inclusion of and designing around airbags. Making sure your airbags are still working properly is important to ensure the safety of you and everyone else in your vehicle. Ron Ananian, host of ‘The Car Doctor’ on the iHeartRadio app, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about spotting the proper lights on your dashboard.
“It may not say ‘airbag’ it may say ‘SRS’… it may be orange, it may be red,” Ananian told host Larry Mendte. “You should open up the owner’s manual and identify which light on the dashboard for your particular car is the airbag light.’
Ananian explained how important airbags are to the overall safety along with other features: “I can’t stress how critical it is because when they design cars for safety… they now put seatbelts in and they design airbags; it’s a supplemental restraint, it’s there to work with a seatbelt.”
