With two weeks left in his presidency, Joe Biden still finds ways to confound his critics with his off-the-cuff remarks. Biden held an impromptu press conference with reporters on Sunday after signing the Social Security Fairness Act, when he suddenly went on a rant that ended when White House aides cut the scene short. Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese was at the event; she described the scene for the WOR Morning Show, which Biden’s critics are now calling as more proof that the media hid his mental decline from Americans.

Reese told host Larry Mendte that Biden walked over to reporters after the signing and began fielding questions. “He got this question, ‘Is white supremacy still the biggest threat to the United States?’, and it caused him to go on the really long rant that somehow ended up talking about immigrants and about immigration and a border bill that House Republicans… blocked, and that would have saved the border crisis. And then it ended with this weird lashing out of him, you know, swearing at reporters, saying that he has spoken to more world leaders than them. And then after that, the White House staff- you can hear them in the audio- rushed the press out of the room, saying, ‘Thank you press, we’re all done here,’ and President Biden departs.”

The press conference also gave Reese her first experience with a Biden trademark: his use of salty language. “I personally, no, have not heard him swear. I think this was the first time in my time covering the White House that he has done something like this. I’m trying to recall- I know that he has gotten frustrated with reporters in the past. I have some colleagues who have had these moments where the President has, you know, noticeably been upset by their question and kind of lost his mind on them.”
