Former Governor of New York David Paterson said that Officer Potter's reaction after she fired her weapon is of someone that made a mistake.
"When you watch the video in all honestly Potter says taser to let the other officers know what is going on. She then accidentally fires her gun, but the saddest thing about this is the reason why people won't believe her. In this case the police officer may wind up being the victim because there is the belief that you can't get a fair trial as a police officer in this country," said Gov. Paterson.
