Tiger Woods On The Mend After Serious Car Crash

It looks like Tiger Woods is out of the woods, but with a long recovery ahead, after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles yesterday. Officials say he was northbound, heading downhill on a stretch of road in the Palos Verdes area that locals report has a high rate of accidents.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that Tiger’s car hit the center median, crossed into the opposing lane of traffic, hit the curb and a tree, and had several rollovers in the process. The airbags deployed, of course, and Deputy Carlos Gonzalez was the first one to arrive on the scene. Tiger was conscious and lucid when he got there.

Fortunately, Tiger was wearing a seat belt, which likely saved his life. Gonzalez added, “It’s very fortunate that Mr. Woods was able to come out of this alive.” No kidding - and considering the recent surgeries to his back, it may take time, but Tiger will walk again.
