Hurricane Isaias is pounding the Carolina coast as it comes ashore. At last check, it’s still a category one storm packing winds of 80 miles an hour.
While it still remains to be seen how much damage will be done as Isaias marches north along the coast, nearly 250-thousand lost power overnight in the initial arrival. In South Carolina, parts of the coast are seeing significant storm surge. The damage is expected to continue once Isaias moves inland.
It's going to move quickly up the East Coast, hitting the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions in the coming days.
