National Security Adviser O'Brien Tests Positive For COVID

The circle of coronavirus cases appears to be getting closer to President Trump as the White House confirms that National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien has tested positive.

O'Brien is the highest-ranking member of the Trump administration to test positive for the virus – and he follows the President’s personal valet, as well as his eldest son’s girlfriend. When asked about O’Brien’s case, Trump told reporters that he didn’t know when O’Brien first tested positive, adding, “I haven’t seen him lately.”

According to the White House, O'Brien has been self-isolating and working from a secure location away from the White House. His symptoms are described as “mild” and it’s believed O’Brien caught it from his college-aged daughter. Trump is regularly tested for the coronavirus and the White House maintains there is no risk of exposure to the President or Vice President Mike Pence.
