Professor of Bioethics at the New York University Langone Medical Center, Dr. Arthur Caplan, was on the air with the "Len Berman and Michael Riedel In The Morning" show to talk about what happens when we finally have a vaccine and can the government mandate it.
"I think the people who will go first are the people who are most at risk of getting the virus such as teachers, people who work in nursing homes, nursing home residents, and first responders. Even though the vaccine is approved the first group will have to agree to be studied and followed," said Dr. Caplan.
Michael asked if Dr. Caplan believed that the rich will try and jump the line to get the vaccine.
"Absolutely, back when we had the swine flu people were buying the vaccine on the black market. It's tough to control it," said Dr. Caplan.
