Editor-in-chief of Avenue Magazine and the author of the brand new book "Gatecrasher: How I Helped The Rich Become Famous and Ruin The World", Ben Widdicombe was on the air with the "Len Berman and Michael Riedel In The Morning" show to talk about the media profiting from celebs, dealing with press agents and how the media handled Harvey Weinstein.
"We really didn't nail the Harvey story. We depicted him as a bully and a womanizer but we never really called him for being the rapist that he was convicted of being. We got that story wrong," said Widdicombe.
Michael asked if he has ever felt guilty about what he wrote about celebrities.
"It is important that you hold the rich and famous accountable because those people with that leverage will lie and cheat for their own advantage. Gossip columns do perform some good in society I think," said Widdicombe.
