Ghislaine Maxwell is now being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after her arrest last week. No, despite what you may have heard, she's not the facility that her longtime associate Jeffrey Epstein died in last year – that was in Manhattan.
As we told you yesterday, federal prosecutors in New York have charged 58-year-old Maxwell for her role in helping Epstein recruit, groom and sexually abuse underage girls as young as 14-years-old. They have also asked a judge to schedule an arraignment and bail hearing for Maxwell on Friday, but it appears that the hearing might happen Monday.
Either way, what happens next with Maxwell promises to be very interesting. Sources say that she doesn’t just have a ‘black book’ of names to hand over officials...word is she’s got hoard of videotapes. “Ghislaine has always been as cunning as they come,” a former friend tells Britain’s “Daily Mail.” “She wasn't going to be with Epstein all those years and not have some insurance.”
