Trump Calls Black Lives Matter Mural A 'Symbol Of Hate

President Trump is calling a proposed Black Lives Matter mural that’s set to be painted in front of his Trump Tower a “symbol of hate.” Trump has taken to Twitter to criticize New York Mayor Bill de Blasio for going ahead with plans to paint the words on Fifth Avenue and for cutting a billion dollars from the police budget.

“NYC is cutting Police $’s by ONE BILLION DOLLARS, and yet the @NYCMayor is going to paint a big, expensive, yellow Black Lives Matter sign on Fifth Avenue, denigrating this luxury Avenue," Trump offered. "Maybe our GREAT Police, who have been neutralized and scorned by a mayor who hates & disrespects them, won’t let this symbol of hate be affixed to New York’s greatest street.”

Interestingly, Trump still has yet to address the issue of the video he re-tweeted – and later deleted – which showed a supporter cheering “White Power.” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany says Trump does believe that "black lives matter," but he condemns the anti-police chants made by some members.”
