There is a phrase in business that says “let the market decide,” and that is the phrase that comes to mind on the divide between people that believe there should have been an investigation into the Bubba Wallace noose controversy and the people that do not.
And if ever there was something that will help the market do exactly that—decide whether the investigation was called for or not—it would be this picture that NASCAR released yesterday.
Take a peek at this picture below—the clearest photo of the garage pull rope that was mistaken for a noose in the garage of Bubba Wallace—and I think you will see the decision made to bring in the FBI was decidedly correct.
And if you still aren’t convinced, the actual numbers are in after NASCAR President Steve Phelps says NASCAR conducted a "thorough sweep of all 29 tracks where they race, and 1684 garage stalls, they found only 11 total ropes that had a pulldown rope tied in a knot, and just one noose: The one in Bubba Wallace garage."
So yeah, regardless of when it was fashioned—this was certainly a noose.
Because if you ask me this image shows the rope tied into what could be pretty much earn someone a merit badge for rope tying.
Of course, I would have that entire scout troop sent to “juvy” afterwards.
