In spite of what his own officials have been saying, President Trump is pushing back on suggestions that he was ‘kidding’ about slowing down coronavirus testing. He made the remark during a rally last weekend and while the White House said he was kidding, Trump says he wasn’t. "I don't kid," he told reporters yesterday.
He called coronavirus testing a "double edged sword" and insisted that there are more cases of the virus because there is more testing going on. "Testing is a double edge sword,” he explained, “One way, it shows you have cases and in another way you find out where the cases are and you do a good job."
Trump also defended his administration's response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and complained that he has received no credit for a "great job."
