Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says President Trump “has strayed away from the Constitution.” During an appearance on CNN's “State of the Union,” the former Joint Chiefs chairman didn’t stop there. Not only does he agree with the assessment of former Defense Secretary James Mattis about Trump’s leadership – he called Trump a liar. More than once.
“The one word I have to use with respect to what he's been doing for the last several years is a word I would never have used before, I never would have used with any of the four presidents I have worked for: He lies,” Powell offered. “He lies about things. And he gets away with it, because people will not hold him accountable.”
As it relates to the coming election, Powell also confirms he's voting for Joe Biden in the upcoming election.
