Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders knows his supporters are a passionate bunch. And while he knows many were upset when he bowed out of the race, he believes the "vast majority" of his supporters will turn out and vote for former Vice President and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden this fall.
During an appearance on CBS' “Face The Nation,” the former Democratic presidential candidate said Biden is beginning to grasp that it's important to say he understands where working-class and young voters are coming from.
To illustrate the point, Sanders specifically mentioned issues like climate change, the minimum wage and student loan debt. “I think Joe and his staff understand (issues),” Sanders noted. “I think they are going to reach out to our supporters and come up with agenda that speaks to the needs of working families, of young families, of minority communities.”
