Feds To Send $11B To States, Territories For Coronavirus Testing

The federal government will send eleven-billion-dollars to states and territories to boost coronavirus testing. President Trump made the announcement during a White House briefing where he also said the nation's testing capability is “growing” and he called it “a key component” in efforts to re-open the country.

Trump insisted that the U.S. is leading the world in testing. He said, "We have met the moment and we have prevailed." And while his White House may be leading in testing – they’re also following the example many Americans are getting more accustomed to living: wearing masks. As in, all West Wing employees are now required to wear masks.

As for the country’s efforts to reopen, Trump predicted a big economic comeback in the U.S. starting later this year. Trump said decisions about re-opening the country are up to governors.
