President Trump says it is "not sustainable" for the American economy to continue to be closed during the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking with reporters, Trump said he does believe the American people will be able to stand the stay-at-home orders much longer.
He added that this pandemic is worse than Pearl Harbor and the September 11th attacks and "it should have never happened." As for schools, Trump said he believes they should open in certain areas, but teachers over the age of 60 need to be cautious. Trump says he would like to see states open "wherever possible."
"We have to be warriors,” Trump offered. “We can't keep our country closed down for years ... hopefully that won't be the case... but it could very well be the case."
