The White House coronavirus task force will begin scaling back later this month. Originally reported by the “New York Times,” the news has since been confirmed by a White House official, who says the task force "will be phased down around Memorial Day."
The move comes as President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are scheduling other events to speak around the country. It’s not completely “done,” however – health experts will reportedly continue to advise the President and be accessible to the media.
And that’s a good thing as the number of people testing positive for the coronavirus is on the rise. It’s to be expected on a level, as many states are starting to lift restriction so businesses can reopen.
