It’s official, Bernie Sanders is “riding with Biden.” The Vermont Senator made the announcement during a joint teleconference with former V-P Joe Biden from their homes in Delaware and Vermont. Among other things, Sanders said the nation needs Biden in the White House. Biden responded that the endorsement means a great deal to him.
As we told you before, Sanders recently stepped out of the Democratic presidential race, making Biden the presumptive party nominee. The two men displayed a united front on the coronavirus outbreak and criticized the Trump administration's response to the crisis.
Sanders called Trump “the most dangerous president in the modern history” of the U.S. Biden repeated a favorite line, saying November's election is “a battle for the soul of the nation.” Biden stressed that he and Sanders have been good friends for years. The two men also joked about playing remote chess.
