President Trump says over two million coronavirus tests have been completed – and he maintains America has done more tests than any other country. He called the tests "highly sophisticated and highly accurate."
Meanwhile...according to reports, Trump is expected to unveil a second Coronavirus taskforce, one that will be primarily focused on the economy. A senior Trump Administration official says the taskforce will be a mix of private-sector and top administration officials including Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow.
Unlike the current task force, this second group is not expected to meet every day.
Where does the United States stand with COVID-19? At last check, there are more than 466-thousand cases across the United States – with nearly 17-thousand patients succumbing to the illness – though nearly 26-thousand have Globally, the numbers stand at just over 1.6-million people infected by the virus – with more than 95-thousand dead. On the plus side, nearly 355-thousand have recovered (a jump of more than 25-thousand in one day). But also, remember that raw numbers don’t tell the complete tale. Remember that for more than the 81% of people diagnosed, symptoms are considered mild.
