A local surgeon has designed a face shield that’s being produced for local hospitals.
Dr. Pedro Cordero told WOR’s “Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning” that 7,000 masks have been made since Wednesday. He believes that can make 15,000 assembled masks per week and 40,000 unassembled.
“The manpower’s the problem. People are staying at home now,” Cordero said.
He said despite his efforts, he hasn’t been contacted by the federal government or local officials.
