Artists Pay Musical Tribute To Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers passed away Friday at the age of 81, and his death prompted several stars to pay tribute to the legend in song.

Brad Paisley took to Instagram to perform a cover of Kenny’s “Sweet Music Man,” writing “Rest In Peace Kenny Rogers. We loved you.”

The Grand Ole Opry had a live stream for Circle All Access members, featuring Brad, Vince Gill and Marty Stuart, who performed without an audience and sitting the recommended distance from each other, launching the show with Vince also performing Kenny’s “Sweet Music Man.”

Travis Tritt also covered “Sweet Music Man” on Instagram.

Jake Owen shared a cover of “She Believed In Me,” writing “One of my favorite songs of all time. Completely describes what it’s like being a musician,” adding, “I’m sad to know Kenny has passed on, but can only strive to leave a legacy the way he did in this world.”

Kelsea Ballerini and hubby Morgan Evans paid tribute to Kenny with a performance of his classic Dolly Parton duet “Islands in the Stream,” writing “We’ll miss you Kenny.”
