Former VP Joe Biden is slamming the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus crisis. Speaking in his home state of Delaware, the Democratic presidential frontrunner criticized the lack of available test kits. He labeled it a “colossal failure.”
Biden went on to say it’s been “a failure of leadership, planning and execution.” He said the number of tests should be in the millions, not the thousands, and argued that tests should be administered free of charge. Biden warned that the crisis will hit working families and small businesses especially hard.
Biden said the U.S. must lead a coordinated global response to the coronavirus, just as the Obama administration did during the Ebola crisis in 2014. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders doesn’t disagree – saying the coronavirus threat is on the scale of a major war.
