It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Democratic leaders of Congress are less than impressed with President Trump after he spoke to the nation about the response to the coronavirus.
In a joint statement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Trump's address didn't explain how his administration will handle the lack of coronavirus testing in the U.S.
They urged Republicans to join them in passing a measure that will provide free coronavirus testing. It will also protect workers who need to take leave for the virus and help states deal with Medicaid costs.
Quest Diagnostics, one of the country's largest diagnostic testing services will conduct thousands of coronavirus tests in the next few weeks. They’re putting the number in the tens of thousands. The tests that were rolled out this week will examine "respiratory specimens" from people thought to be infected with the respiratory illness.
