As tomorrow’s Primary in South Carolina draws near, former Vice President Joe Biden is raking in the big bucks ahead of the South Carolina Democratic primary. The former VP told supporters in an email his campaign raised over one-point-two-million dollars on Wednesday alone.
Campaign staffers say it was their best money-raising day yet, which came right after Tuesday's primary debate. But there’s more good news since Tuesday’s debate. Biden has taken a commanding lead in the Palmetto State. Biden has 36-percent support in a new Monmouth University poll. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is next at 16-percent. In surprising news, businessman Tom Steyer is in third at 15-percent. No other candidate is in double figures.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is fourth with eight-percent. She's followed by former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at six-percent. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar has four-percent support and Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard came in at one-percent.
