President Trump is defending the firing of National Security Council aide Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman over his testimony in the House impeachment hearings.
In case you missed it, Trump fired two key impeachment witnesses on Friday – kicking Vindman – the top Ukraine expert at National Security Council – to the curb as well as his twin brother His Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman (who never testified). Also let go? US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland.
In tweet, Trump called Vindman him "very insubordinate" and said he had problems "adhering to the chain of command and leaking information." Trump also claimed Vindman incorrectly reported the contents of his "perfect" phone calls with the president of Ukraine. Vindman has never been proven to have leaked anything and only testified under oath in accordance with a subpeona.
