President Trump is honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The President and Vice President Mike Pence made an unannounced visit to the MLK Memorial in the nation's capital yesterday.
The two stood solemnly in front of the Memorial for a few moments before waving to onlookers and leaving. Earlier in the day, Trump noted via Twitter that this year’s commemoration came on the third anniversary of his inauguration.
He pointed out that African-American unemployment is the lowest in history and that poverty rates are also lower.
