Gigi Hadid may be a high-powered supermodel, but she still makes time to do her civic duty. Turns out, she was among the 120 potential jurors who showed up yesterday for Harvey Weinstein’s trial in Manhattan.
To review, the former movie mogul is set to stand trial on charges of raping a woman in 2013 and sexually assaulting another woman in 2006. He’s entered not guilty pleas to two counts of predatory sexual assault, two counts of rape and one count of a criminal sexual act. Of course, he's been accused of assaulting more than 80 women at last check.
While Gigi admitted that she’d met Harvey, she also told Judge James Burke that she could be fair and impartial. After hearing a list of potential witnesses, she also admitted that she’d met Salma Hayek. Still, she was among the 35 potential jurors who were asked to fill out a jury questionnaire and come back on Thursday.
