Trump Addresses The Nation Over Iran

President Trump has gone before America to confirm that no Americans were harmed after Iran fired more than a dozen missiles at two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. forces.

Addressing the nation from the White House – and flanked by military officers as well as his cabinet – Trump said an early warning system worked very well. What system was that? The one where Iran gave a verbal warning to Iraq. Speaking of warnings, Trump said Iran must give up its nuclear ambitions, end its support for terrorism – and vowed “Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.”

He argued that Iran could be a great and peaceful nation. “To the people and leaders of Iran, we want you to have a future and a great future, one that you deserve, one of prosperity at home in harmony,” he offered. “With the nations of the world, the United States is ready to embrace peace with all who seek it.”
