I'm guessing that swim coaches in Chicago don't make a ton of money. This would help explain why one high school swim coach decided to make a few extra bucks acting as a leasing agent for the school's pool.
Officials say that the coach collected nearly $30,000 last year by leasing the pool to outside groups. Andy Parro is now the swim coach at Illinois Institute of Technology but was the swim coach at Whitney Young High School from 2009-2018, winning six league championships.
It was uncovered that he rented out the pool to outside groups without the school knowing and pocketed the money. Officials say they have turned over their evidence to local police and expect an investigation to initiate.
