The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee says a full report on impeachment will be submitted to the Judiciary Committee soon after the Thanksgiving recess.
In a letter to House colleagues, Congressman Adam Schiff said the report will detail what has been learned thus far, including witness testimony from five days of public hearings. The Judiciary Committee will be responsible for drawing up formal articles of impeachment against President Trump.
Schiff noted that the investigatory work will continue, as needed. He said the evidence of wrongdoing and misconduct by the President is "clear and hardly in dispute." Schiff added – "What is left to us now is to decide whether this behavior is compatible with the office of the Presidency, and whether the Constitutional process of impeachment is warranted."
