Well, they say if you're good at something you should pursue it and become great at it.
A 73-year-old guy named Bruce Bagley is a professor of international studies at the University of Miami and he found that he was really good at money laundering. He actually an expert on drug trafficking, organized crime as well and was behind a book called "Drug Trafficking, Organized Crime, and Violence in the Americas Today."
Turns out that Bruce was just charged by prosecutors with, you guessed it, money laundering. Allegedly, he laundered at least $3 million into the U.S. from criminals in Venezuela and Colombia. And he pocketed about 10-percent of the money.
Not sure how a guy who wrote a book on money laundering could get caught so easily but he's now facing up to 20 years in prison and the University of Miami has put him on administrative leave.
