Taking your pet dog for a ride in the car is one thing, but taking your pet chicken is another.
Police in Oak Creek, Wisconsin says they arrested a drunk driver after he was seen driving around with a live chicken on his shoulder. It seems a motorist called police at just after 11 a.m. on Sunday to report a reckless driver. The caller said that they saw a man behind the wheel of a gray Nissan and that the man was driving between 20 and 30 miles per hour, swerving all over the road.
They also said the man was driving with some sort of bird on his shoulder. Turns out that bird was an actual chicken. The man was cited for his third drunken driving offense and driving with an open liquor container.
Animal control was called to handle the chicken.
