Trump noted that he liked the Nationals' late-season theme, "Stay in the fight." The Nationals beat the Houston Astros in the seventh and deciding game of the World Series last week.
Trump joked that, in recent weeks, the only things people in DC were talking about were "the Nationals and impeachment."
