As we previously told you, Olivia Newton John held an auction over the weekend of over 500 pieces of memorabilia to raise money for her cancer research institute in Australia. Well, she brought in a lot of dough.
One of the biggest items up for grabs was the the black leather outfit she wore in the finale of her hit “Grease,” and it sold for a whopping $405,000, more than double what it was estimated for. The black leather jacket went for $243,000, while her black pants sold for $162,500.
Other items sold at the auction included:
A custom-made “Pink Ladies” jacket with a “Sandy” monogram - $50,000
A movie poster signed by Olivia and co-star John Travolta - $64,000
An outfit Olivia wore while performing “Physical” on the “Merv Griffin Show” - $31,000
