Nationals Beat Astros In World Series Game Seven

The Washington Nationals are World Series champions for the first time – beating the Astros 6-2 in Game Seven in Houston last night. Anthony Rendon and Howie Kendrick both homered in a three-run seventh inning to erase a 2-0 deficit for Washington.

Juan Soto added an RBI single in the eighth and Adam Eaton singled in two more in the ninth for the Nats. Patrick Corbin threw three shutout innings to get the win in relief. Yuli Gurriel homered and Carlos Correa singled in runs for Houston.

It's worth noting that the road team won all seven games.

All is not lost for Houston, however. Winning their first World Series in 2017, Astros are considered 4-1 favorites to win the 2020 World Series...as for their Nationals, their running 14-1 odds.
