Whoever wrote that explosive 2018 āNew York Timesā op/ed charging that some White House staff were working to keep President Trump's impulses from doing damage to the nation is writing a new book. The book "A Warning" by Anonymous is set to be published next month.
As you might recall, the author wrote the "I am part of the resistance inside the Trump Administration" op/ed that was published in September of 2018. In it the author made claims of hiding documents from the President. The publisher says they have gone to extraordinary lengths to hide the identity of the author. They said they did verify that the author is the same person who wrote the op/ed.
To that point, the publisher claims the book āwill begin where the op/ed left offā providing a first-hand account of President Trump and his record. Originally, Trump had ordered then Attorney General Jeff Sessions to find out who wrote that Times op/ed.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham notes, āTakes a lot of conviction and bravery to write whole book anonymously.ā No word on Trumpās reaction, but when the op/ed was initially written, Trump suggested it was ātreason.ā
For those suggesting this is all about money? That depends on your perspective. Apparently, the author turned down a seven-figure advance and plans to donate a substantial amount of royalties to the White House Correspondents Association and other free speech organizations.
