Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is officially back in business - kicking off his return to the campaign trail with a big endorsement over the weekend.
On Saturday, the 78-year-old held a massive rally - his first since suffering a heart attack earlier this month...and he got the endorsement of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Appearing with him, AOC credited Sanders with being at the forefront of ideas like Medicare for All, a living wage and student debt forgiveness. Sanders returned the glowing endorsement, saying it's astounding how much AOC has been able to transform politics in the U.S. in just one year.
Sanders also tamped down any doubts that his health could get in the way of him being President. He said he's more than ready to assume the highest office in the country. He also thanked his supporters for their well wishes while he was recovering.
