Trump Doubles Down: Asks Ukraine AND China To Investigate Bidens

If you thought a phone call was bad, buckle up – President Trump is now publicly calling on two foreign governments to investigate his political rival. Speaking at the White House yesterday, Trump said China should join Ukraine in investigating former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

Trump made the remarks as reports emerged that he didn’t just ask Ukraine to look into the Bidens in July – he also asked Chinese officials to do the same in June. And more than that, word is that the records were saved to a server...the one that the Whistleblower has said existed.

Back to his latest comments, Trump said “what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened in Ukraine.” He didn’t explain what that means, but he did insist that the Democratic impeachment effort is "crumbling." He also called California Democrat Adam Schiff a "stone cold liar."

What’s Schiff say? The House Intelligence Committee Chairman says Trump’s requests of China are "repugnant" and "ought to be condemned by every member" of Congress. "A president of the United States encouraging a foreign nation to interfere again to help his campaign by investigating a rival,” he added. “Is a fundamental breach of the presidential oath." He said Trump's rant reinforces the urgency of their work.

Trump China-oriented comments are considered to be more troubling considering the fact that the U.S. and China are currently in a trade war. As for the Bidens, while no direct evidence has emerged of impropriety by the Bidens, the former Vice President has bragged publicly about getting a prosecutor looking into his son’s situation fired.
